Tugasan 1 : Vitual Construction

Introduction: Production Model

Built Environment

6 Elements of Production

Built environment is a whole, meaning that every department which involve in built environment are co-operate and linked up with each other, such as architecture, interior designer, quantity surveyor, building manager and building surveyor to serve human activity. Besides that, built environment also refer to an environment that human modified. Thus, without anyone of department co-operate would affect the result of built environment. For example, a building construction would be left aside on the half way, the demand of the construction project would not be marketable and incompetence with other companies.

INTENTION takes the first step among the 6 production element. There is always has the aspire, aim and idea that come from the knowledge we gain to let us make clear and create something. For this, we might be able to use 'wh' question to help us to get into more clearly about the aim and idea.

ACT takes the second step. An action is produce by our mind. Our mind will send message to parts of our body to do the following order. But some of us is only think and talk only, they do not has the intention to transfer their idea to action to realize it.

PRODUCT takes the third step. We produce everything that something comes out from our self. For example, human produce carbon dioxide, rubbish, ideology and so on. In the built environment, normally the product that actors produce includes exterior and interior of and building construction, building structure and so on.

ACTORS in the built environment is consist of different department that link with each order like a big family. For example, architecture, interior designer, building surveyor, quantity surveyor and others which are involve in built environment to provide setting for human activity. Each of the department has their own responsibility, aim and role in built environment to complete a construction.

RULES are the guide lines for the actors in this built environment. It consists of civil rules, laws, religion, and ritual rules too. Each of it has their own specification settle by human and limited human activities.

SITE in the built environment is refer to the earth's surface, physical qualities, climate, population and products. Actors have to do research and study different of site to ensure the construction is safety and constructible. For example, population, if actors are involved in a shopping centre construction, they need to seek a site that full of people populated such as at city area instead of choosing the site in rural area. These could ensure increasing demand of the construction. Apart from that, actors have to responsibility to serve human a green site which is free of pollution. So that, the earth can brings on continuously to the next generation.

Production of My Construction

In the first intention, I would like to design and build a chair. Below are the questions I need to deal with.

  1. What kind of chair?

  2. How to make it?

  3. How much the cost?

  4. Where I could find the material?

  5. Which market to target?

  6. What is the purpose, advantage for the user?

The general function of this chair is to give the user feel comfortable and it is design to fix human body structure. It is not only comfortable but also promotes healthy healing to the user. In order to attract more buyers, the outlook of the chair has to outstanding, common and acceptable to most consumers. Besides that, it has three series to full-fill different consumers' desire. The main material of the chair is leather and cushion.

After listing out all questions about the construction of the product (chair), I have to deal with all the questions. Firstly, I need to design a plan of chair in details. Secondly, based on the design plan, I have to choose the suitable material according to the cost. Thirdly, I have to observe the currently market to ensure my product is marketable. Fourthly, dealing with the furniture factory to produce my chair in vast. Once all the statements settle down, now is the time to produce the chair.

Once the chair has been produced, experiment has to taken towards the chair to ensure the function is stable, safety, and last long. For this, I have to consult the experts to get more information. After the expert has confirmed that the chair's function is stable, safe to use and approved that the chair could promote healthy healing, then, the design plan of the chair could hand over to the factory to produce in vast.

There are many parties involved in this construction of this product. Firstly, the interior design that design the chair and decide what material will be use. Secondly, the quantity surveyor who quotes out the cost needed. Thirdly, the engineer who make experiment towards the chair. Fourthly, the furniture factory who process the production of chair into product then distribute to consumers. The parties here are link up with each others like a chain. They have their own responsibility, aim and role in order to complete this production and to serve human activity.

During this production, there are rules have to follow. For example, the principle of how a chair stand stable, how the design could promote healthy healing. Besides that, the furniture factory has to follow the rule that an interior design stated in the design plan.

Generally, the construction of this product does not build on the earth's surface, but, it is place on the earth's surface for consumer to use. They can sit on the armrest chair when watching TV, reading, having a nap and so on.
